Mary (d'Errico) McKee, 87, formerly of Briarwood Circle in Worcester, passed away, Tuesday, December 25, 2007, in Knollwood Nursing Center. Her husband, William McKee pre-deceased her in 1990. Mary is survived by two brothers, Thomas d'Errico of Northampton, and Peter D'Errico of Arlington, Vermont; a sister Blanche d'Errico Barss of Framingham; many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Joseph D'Errico and Julio d'Errico as well as a sister Angela D'Errico Wiesman. Mary was born in Worcester, the daughter of Peter and Giovanna (D'Errico) d'Errico, and has lived here all her life. She served in the United States Army, during World War II, and was a First Lieutenant in The Nursing Corps. Mrs. McKee graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and attended both Assumption College and the former Worcester Junior College. A Registered Nurse, Mary was the coordinator for the L.P.N. program at Memorial Hospital School of Nursing for many years, before she retired. She was a member of United Congregational Church in Worcester, and had a generous heart and spirit. The funeral service for Mary will be held Monday, December 31, at 1:30 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home, from 12:30 p.m. until the beginning of the funeral service . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
