Marie Surin

Marie J. (Cadet) Surin, 71, of Bellingham, formerly of Haiti, passed away Thursday, December 20th in her home after an illness. Marie is survived by her husband Jean J. Surin; her two sons, Rooney Surin and his companion Gina Setaro of Worcester; Jerry Surin and his wife Jennifer of Athol; two daughters, Melinda Surin in Conn., Shelley Murray and her husband Donald with whom she lived; two brothers, Serge and Jacques Cadet both in Canada; and a sister, Yolande Saint Pierre in New York City; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A sister, Ghislaine France pre deceased her. She was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti the daughter of Succes and Orvilla (Pierre) Cadet. Graduated from nursing school in Haiti and lived there until moving to here two years ago. Marie worked many years as a Registered Nurse in Haiti until retiring. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29th at 12 Noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Haiti. Friends are invited to visit with the family Friday, December 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
