Marie (Mancini) Mastrovito, 77, of Worcester passed away peacefully, Friday, December 14th in the Knollwood Long term care center. Her husband of 45 years, Joseph H. Mastrovito, Jr. passed away in 1997. She is survived by, two sons, Gerald F. "Jerry" Mastrovito, of Richmond, VA, Robert J. Mastrovito and his wife Donna of Worcester, two daughters, Jo-Ann Shays of Phoenix Arizona, Gina M. Rossi and her husband Chad of Worcester; a brother Ralph Mancini and his wife Nancy; and a sister, Anna Daboul all of Shrewsbury; a cousin, Mary Paciello; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends, Carmela, Judy, Sharon, Deb, Margo and Karen. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marion (Paciello) Mancini, and has lived here all her life. A longtime waitress, Marie was a member of St John's Church, The Grafton Hill Post Ladies Auxiliary, and the Worcester Lodge 168, Order Sons of Italy in America. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and the Boston Red Sox. Marie's funeral will be held Thursday, December 20th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. John's Church, 44 Temple Street. Burial will follow next to her husband in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19th in the funeral home.
