Maria (Adimari) Romeo, 76, formerly of 57 Wall St. passed away peacefully, surrounded by her devoted family, Wednesday, November 21st in the Christopher House of Worcester. Maria's husband of 51 years, Antonio Romeo, passed away July 27, 2004. She is survived by her devoted eight children, Biagio Romeo and his wife Gina, Elio Romeo and his wife Connie, Luigi Romeo and his wife Theresa, all of Worcester, Gianni Romeo and his wife Kim, Tony Romeo and his wife Mariangela all of Sutton, Mario Romeo and his wife Cindy of Millbury; Anna Bianco and her husband Giuseppe in Acri, Italy, Angela Black and her husband Richard of Worcester; a brother, Generoso Adimari of Worcester; a sister, Rosina Grandinetti of Grafton; twenty four grandchildren; two great grandsons; many nieces , nephews and friends. A brother, Natale Adimari and a sister, Christina Girardi pre deceased her. Maria was born in Arcri, Italy a daughter of the late Fidele and Angelina (Viteritti) Adimari, grew up in Italy and and came to the United States in 1972. Maria enjoyed being a homemaker, loved tending to her garden, and cooking. She was a devoted mother to her children and family. She will be missed by her family and friends. Maria was a long time member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann Parish. The funeral will be held Saturday, November 24th 2007, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 23rd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
