Margaret McGuirk

Margaret Mary (Jiardino) McGuirk, 75, of Worcester died unexpectedly Tuesday May 20, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 56 years George H. McGuirk, three daughters, Donna Nelson and her husband Steven of Windham N.H. Linda Murphy and her husband Joseph of Sutton, Deborah Gerardi and her husband Joseph of Worcester, and a son George McGuirk and his wife MaryBeth of Worcester. Eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister Jennie Kirby, and a brother Frances Jiardino. Margaret was born in Worcester daughter of Carmine and Mary (Copper) Jiardino and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School, and worked many years at the Imperial Distributor Company before she retired. Margaret Mary was a former member of St. Margaret Mary Church, and enjoyed square dancing, summering in Maine, Cooking, and being with her family. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Margaret Mary's funeral will be held Saturday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30AM in St Margaret Mary Church 75 Alvarado Ave. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 5-8PM on Friday. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
