Leonard A. "Lenny" Trotto, 76, of Worcester a noted area car salesman, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 20th 2008 in the Christopher house surrounded by his cherished family. Lenny is survived by his sister, Laura DeMaria of Shrewsbury; his two brothers, Ralph Trotto, Jr. and his wife Ruth, Michael "Mickey" Trotto and his wife Joanne all of Worcester; many nieces, nephews, and friends. A brother, Severio Trotto and two sisters, Lillian Trotto and Angela Renzulli pre deceased him. He was born in Worcester; his parents were Ralph Trotto, Sr. and Mary (Guerra) Trotto. He graduated from Commerce High, served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and has lived here all his life. Lenny worked as an Automobile Sales Rep for the Gallo Saturn Company on Gold star Blvd, before retiring. Previously he worked for Atamian Motors on Main St. Lenny was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, the Eastside Improvement Club and the Italian American Post #3 Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid Bowler, and Yankee fan. In his youth Lenny was an outstanding athlete, a standout pitcher and a football player. He enjoyed playing cards, and having breakfasts with his friends at McDonald's on Shrewsbury St. The funeral will be held Friday, May 23rd from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 12:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, prior to the mass at the funeral home.
