Lena Pedone

Lena M. (Amendolare) Pedone, 95, formerly of Liscomb St, and Belmont St.died peacefully Friday March 14, 2008 in the UMASS Memorial Medical Center.119 Belmont St. Her husband Anthony Pedone died in 1969. Lena is survived by her devoted son Robert Pedone of Millbury, three grandchildren, Elayne Fikucki, of Worcester, Robert A. Pedone of Shrewsbury, and Jill Muller of Millbury, three great grandchildren, Ana, Michael, and Julianne. Lena is also survived by two sisters, Sally Mitchell and Catherine Reed. Lena was predeceased by three sisters, Pauline Calabro, Mary Patti, and Laura DeSabato. Lena was born in New York City daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa (Pulisi) Amendolare and came to Worcester many years ago.Lena was a co owner with her husband of the former Roberts Apparel Company on Millbury St. and later worked for The Casual Corner as a sales clerk. Lena enjoyed watching sports, especially Baseball, Hockey, and Golf. She enjoyed doing crochet, but her most precious times were with her family. She will be missed dearly.She was a former member of Our Lady Of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church. A funeral service for Lena will be held Tuesday Morning at 11:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A calling hour will be held from 9AM to 11AM.
