Joseph J. Rossetti, 81, of Shrewsbury St. died unexpectedly Tuesday April 29, 2008 in St. Vincent Hospital with his family there. Joseph is survived by a brother John A. Rossetti and his wife Mary of Worcester, many nieces and nephews, among them Valerie and John Rossetti, and Vanessa Phethean. He was predeceased by three brothers Frank, Salvatore, and Medio Rossetti, and two sisters Amelia Bowling and Angelina Gallo. Joseph was born in Worcester son of the late Antonio and Rosalina (DiDomenico) Rossetti and lived here all his life.He was a graduate of Commerce High School, and served in the United States Navy. "Joe" was a life member of Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church, the East Side Improvement Club, and the Italian American Veterans Post 3. He was a self employed Painter for many years before he retired. He enjoyed a good day at the track, and being out with friends especially on Shrewsbury St. Joseph's funeral will be held Friday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30AM in Our Lady Of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours in the funeral home are 5-8PM on Thursday (tonight) Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
