Jeannette M. Ajamo, 74, of Dudley, formerly of 108 Granite St. Worcester, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 30th, 2008 in the Radius Healthcare, surrounded by her family. Jeanette was born in Dayr az Zawr, Syria the daughter of Malko Ajamo and Sode Karrat. Her husband of 43 years Elias Marriki passed away in 2000. She is survived by her devoted five children Naem Marriki, with whom she lived, Samar Marriki, Etwal Al-Dyoub and her husband Anwar all in Dudley, Salwa Hanna and her husband Morris of Worcester, Karam Marriki and his wife Sahar in Syria, three brothers, Fahmi and George Ajamo in Lebanon, and John Ajamo in Canada; Two sisters, Ferial and Jacqueline Ajamo both in Syria; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A brother, Fowad Ajamo and a sister, Violette Ajamo pre deceased her. She was a member of St. Mary's Syrian Orthodox Church in Shrewsbury. Mrs. Ajamo was an accomplished Custom Tailor in Syria, many years before retiring and moving to Worcester. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Syrian Orthodox Church, 1 Industrial Drive, Shrewsbury. Burial will be next to her husband in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Friends may pay their condolences from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1st and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 2nd prior to the funeral in St. Mary's Syrian Orthodox church.
