Frank N. Zicaro, Sr. 90, formerly of 36 Paine St. passed away peacefully, Monday, May 26th 2008 in Memorial hospital surrounded by his family. Frank's wife of 62 years Rose A. (Pistara) Zicaro passed away in 2004; He is survived by his three beloved children, Kathy DelNegro and her husband George of Sandwich, Frank N. Zicaro, Sr. and his wife Charlotte of Oxford, and Robert D. Zicaro of Worcester; a sister, Emma Ferraiuolo of Worcester; his seven cherished grandchildren, Brian, Justine, Joseph and Nicholas DelNigro, Matthew and John Zicaro and Jessica Langlois; eight great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A brother Angelo Zicaro and a sister Theresa Quartella pre deceased him. Frank was born in Worcester his parents were the late Carmine and Rose (Capalbo) Zicaro, He graduated from Commerce High and has lived here all his life. Frank worked many years as a shipper for the former John Bath Company before retiring in 1982. He previously worked for Harrington Richardson Arms. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, and an enthusiastic Red Sox Fan. The funeral will be held Friday, May 30th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a Mass at 12:00 noon in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the mass.
