Frank R. Tomaiolo, 88, of Worcester died peacefully Monday May 19, 2008 at his daughters home in Worcester after a brief illness. His beloved wife Margaret (Iovieno) Tomaiolo died in 1996. Frank is survived by his loving family; two daughters Rosemarie S. Walsh of Worcester, Jean Tomaiolo-Harney and her husband Brendon of Florida, two grandchildren, Michael J. Walsh and his wife Laura, and Susan M Walsh, three great grandchildren Joseph, Timothy, and Matthew, and two brothers Pasquale "Bucko" Tomaiolo and his wife Frances, and Peter Tomaiolo and his wife Mary, and many nephews and nieces.He was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Vescera, and Louise Stranieri. Frank was born in Worcester son of Raphael and Maria (Marzano) Tomaiolo and lived here all his life. He attended Worcester Boys Trade School.Frank worked as a Court Officer in the Registry of Probate for twenty five years before he retired.Previous to that he worked for The Rockwood Sprinkler Company and the Worcester Redevelopment Authority. After retirement Frank went to work for Saint John's High School in Shrewsbury in the Athletic Department where he worked just up to several weeks ago when he became ill. He really loved being with the students and faculty, and was well respected by all of them. Frank was a life member of Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Parish, the East Side Improvement Club, and was a long time patron of the San Vitaliano Society. He was an avid New York Yankee's fan, and enjoyed all kinds of Sports. He enjoyed being with his family, and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. The funeral for Frank will be held Friday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St.with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:AM in Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 4-7PM on Thursday. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
