Francis Sposato

Francis D. "Frank" Sposato, 79, of Worcester passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Christmas morning, December 25th in his home surrounded by his devoted family after a brief illness. Frank is survived by his cherished family, his wife and partner of 57 years Grace M. ((Pedone) Sposato; his four beloved sons, Francis D. Sposato, Jr. and his companion Susan Labree; Donald P. Sposato and his wife Nancy, John F. Sposato and his wife Sheila all of Worcester, Kenneth J. Sposato and his wife Wendy of Shrewsbury; his eleven adored grandchildren, Mark, Jeffrey, Gina, Donald, Bryan, Joseph, Crystal, Wendy, Nicholas, Anna and Mia; five great grandchildren, Tiffany, Gage, Samantha, Shelby and Trista; his two sisters, Rita Symonick of Holden, and Helen Gemme of Spencer; his daughter in law Patricia Sposato; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A brother, Angelo Sposato and a sister, Rose Kay pre deceased him. Frank was born in Worcester a son of the late Gaetano and Angelina (Bonofiglio) Sposato and has lived here all his life. Frank worked more than 42 years for the former Chicago Beef company retiring as Sales manger in 1987. Frank was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, the Pope John XXIII Council Knights of Columbus, and the Greendale Retire Men's Club. Franks funeral will be held Saturday, December 29th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, 75 Alvarado Ave. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Friday, December 28th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
