Francis J. "Butch" Fowley, 68, of Westborough, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 24th 2008 in his home surrounded by his family. Francis is survived by his wife and partner of 18 years, Judy (Stone) Voutas; two sons, Francis J. Fowley Jr. and David Fowley; a daughter, Theresa Kotronis; three stepchildren, Scott Voutas, Lisa Hitchings and Michaela Voutas; a brother John L. Fowley and his wife Debby of Key West, Florida; a sister Dorothy K. Turgeon and her husband David of Worcester; grandchildren and great grandchildren including, Shawn, Dawn, Adam, Jessica, Madison, Samantha and Kimberly; many nieces, nephews and friends. A brother James M. Fowley and a sister, Patricia Jablonski pre deceased him. Butch was born in Worcester; his parents were John J. and Dorothy F. (Sullivan) Fowley. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade, spent many years working as a self employed carpenter living in Worcester before moving to Westboro 18 years ago. After retirement Butch worked as a transit driver assisting challenged children for Kessling Transit over 3 years. As a carpenter Butch enjoyed puttering around the house helping friends and relatives with odd jobs. He spent a career of giving, assisting and caring for family, friends and his community. He liked to travel and spend time with his family. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Entombment will be in St. John Mausoleum. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27th in the funeral home.
