Frances Annunziata

Frances "Fran" (Sannella) Annunziata, 103, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 10th in the Millbury Health Care Center. Fran's husband Frank Annunziata passed away in 1956. She is survived by a son, Stephen Annunziata and his wife Carol of Worcester; two daughters in law, Carol M. Annunziata of Auburn and Donna Annunziata of Virginia; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A son, David Annunziata, passed away December 5th, another son, Paul Annunziata, died in 2003. Two brothers, Frank and Louis Sannella and two sisters, Angela Trippi and Lydia Knowlton all pre deceased her. She was born in Haverhill, the daughter of the late Rev. Antonio Sannella and Giacinta (Palmisano) Sannella, and has lived most of her life in Worcester. Fran was a founding member of the Christ Baptist Church, a member of its Dorcas Society, and also taught Sunday school for many years. Fran enjoyed vacationing at the family cottage in the White Mountains. The family of Frances Annunziata would like to publicly acknowledge and commend the Staff at Millbury Healthcare for the exceptional care and understanding they provided. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the Christ Baptist Church, 24 Granby Rd., Worcester. Burial will follow next to her husband in Rural Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 14th in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Baptist Church, 24 Granby Rd. 01604.
