Elvira V. (Giusto) Devlin, 84, of Utah Street in Worcester, passed away Monday, December 3, 2007 in Dodge Park Rest Home. Her husband of sixty-one years, Paul D. Devlin, passed away in February 2006. Elvira leaves three daughters, Paula A. Fenuccio and her husband Joseph of Worcester, Judith M. Basis and her husband Marty of Quincy, and Cheryl K. Nathan and her husband Marty of Spencer; three grandchildren, Joseph P. Direnzo, Richard C. Direnzo, Jr., and Kimberly DiGioia; eight great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters, Anthony, Eugene, and James, Theresa Masiello, Corrine Lemanski, Josephine Dauderis, and Anna Tonelli. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Alfredo and Angelina (Carrabas) Giusto and has lived here all her life. Mrs. Devlin worked as an agriculturist at Green Thumb Nurseries in Westborough for nearly thirty years, before she retired. She had previously worked as an inspector at David Clark Company in Worcester. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. The funeral for Elvira will be held Thursday, December 6, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 5, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
