Elizabeth "Betty" (Hicks) Kniskern, 68, of 35 Elm Court, passed away Tuesday, April 29th in St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill at home. Elizabeth's husband of 51 years, Robert F. Kniskern, Sr. passed away in 2006. She is survived by her children, Robert F. Kniskern, Jr. and his wife Kim of Rochdale, Leonard S. Kniskern and his wife Deanna of Worcester, Brenda Salois and her husband Donald of Millbury, Susan Kniskern of Upton, Patricia Perry and her husband Michael of Sutton, Twin daughters, Sherry Villatico and her husband Rob, and Lisa Kniskern all of Worcester' 29 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Hicks of Sutton, and James Hicks of Worcester; two sisters, Alice Prendiville and Shirley Labrie both of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. Betty was born in Worcester; her mother was the late Lydia (Cooper) Hicks. Betty was a member of St Brigid Church and has lived in Millbury more than 35 years. Betty enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, spending time visiting her family, playing bingo and her trips to the casinos. The funeral will be held Friday, May 2nd from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St Brigid church, 59 Main St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 1st from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
