Edmund A. Nowak, 65, of Rochdale, passed away Monday, January 21, 2008, in Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his son, Christopher D. Nowak of Lincoln, Rhode Island and his girlfriend Sarah Waizenegger; his life partner and soul mate of more than twenty-three years, Judy (Senosk) Brideau and her daughters, Melissa Katz of Largo, Florida and Donna Neil of St. Petersburg, Florida; a sister, Geraldine Weldon of Sandown, New Hampshire; four grandchildren; his long time business partner Joseph Mancuso of Shrewsbury; several nieces and nephews. Ed was born in Hillsborough, New Hampshire the son of Edmund A. and Martha (Bizik) Nowak and grew up in Worcester, he graduated from North High School and later attended Nichols College. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Nowak was a partner in Mancuso-Nowak Insurance Agency of Shrewsbury. He was a member of The American Legion Post 443 in Leicester. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Patriots and Red Sox. He enjoyed travel, golf, and wintering in Florida. He had many friends, and enjoyed life to its fullest. A memorial service for Ed will be held Sunday, January 27, at 2 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 26, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
