Edmund J. Krencisz, 78, of South Yarmouth formerly of Worcester passed away peacefully, Wednesday December 26th in the Epoch of Brewster Long-term care center. Ed was born and lived in Worcester until moving to South Yarmouth in 1996. Prior to his Moving to the Cape he summered for many years in West Dennis. Ed was a graduated of Worcester Trade High School where he played on the 1947 City Championship football team. He then earned his Bachelors degree in Education from Fitchburg State College, and his Masters degree in Education from Worcester State College. For many years Ed was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, being called to active duty and serving in 1950 during the Korean War. In the late thirties and early forties, he was a member of the PNA Drums Corps in Worcester. Edmund was an educator more than 37 years, the first eight years he taught at David Prouty High school in Spencer and then for the remaining 29 years for Framingham South and North High schools retiring in 1992. He also for many years taught Engineering Graphics in the Afternoon and evening division for Quinsigamond Community College and the former Worcester Junior College. At onetime, he also at The University of Lowell. Ed was also a licensed Real Estate Broker and Building Contractor for more than 30 years. Ed was a member of the Framingham, Massachusetts and National Education Teachers Associations. The retired State, County and Municipal employees associations. A member and former Football official with the Central Massachusetts Officials Conference. Ed traveled extensively throughout the country and since his retirement throughout the world, but most of all he loved Cape Cod. Edmund's wife Lottie (Macell) Krencisz passed away in 1989. He is survived by his two sons, Mark Krencisz and his wife Tina of Worcester, Paul Krencisz of Framingham; Two sisters, Marion Rzucidlo and Jane Waitele both of Worcester; His longtime friend and beloved companion Natalie Lafleur; three grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ed's funeral will be held Wednesday, January 2nd from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum.
