Deborah A. (Jacobs) Shea, 56, of Worcester died peacefully Tuesday July 1, 2008 in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a courageous three month battle with lung cancer. Deborah is survived by her loving family; three daughters, Jodi Shea of Worcester, Jami Shea of Charlton and Jessica Shea of Worcester, Her mother Catherine (Swenson) Jacobs of Worcester, two sisters Dale Monfreda of Worcester, and Durlene Ilges and her husband Tod of Westford Vt. Deborah also leaves her six loving grandchildren, Kerri, Andrew, Brittany, Neftali, Jovanni, and Luis, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and her former husband Michael P. Shea. Deborah was born in Worcester daughter of the late Albert D. Jacobs and has lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Burncoat High School, and attended Quinsigamond Community College. She worked in the Finance Department at the Henry Lee Willis Community Center for many years and was still working up until her illness. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved the Holidays her favorite was Halloween. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. A memorial calling hour will be held Saturday July 5, from 10AM to 11AM with a service to follow at 11AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester.
