Claire A. (Norton) Latino, 80, of Worcester, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 26th in her home surrounded by her devoted family. Claire is survived by her devoted husband and partner of 56 years, Silvestris "Silvio" Latino; her two children, David P. Latino and his wife Deborah L., Carole Meehan- Jackson and her husband Gary; a sister, Muriel Johnston; a cherished granddaughter, Allison Meehan; many loved nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Lucille and Phyllis Norton both pre deceased her. Claire was born in Worcester, daughter of Ralph and Amelia (Peterson) Norton. She graduated from Commerce High and has lived here all her life. Claire spent 25 years working for Gallo Oldsmobile on Shrewsbury Street before retiring in 1989. She previously worked for Rockwood Sprinkler Company. Claire was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. She enjoyed and cherished being with and surrounded by her family and especially her friends "The Club" all whom graduated from Commerce together, stayed close friends, gathering together frequently with their husbands and children. The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 29th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 8 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29th in the funeral home.
