Catherine A. "Bobbie" (Trudell) Ferraro, 92, of Worcester, died peacefully, Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the home of her daughter. Catherine was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred and Agnes (Sheehan) Trudell. She was pre-deceased by eleven siblings. She owned and operated, along with her husband, Ferraro's Restaurant on Shrewsbury Street for thirty years. Her husband was the late Natale F. "Chi Chie" Ferraro, who passed away in 1989. Catherine is survived by her daughter, Joanne Belezerian-Crowley and her husband Paul Crowley of Worcester; her grandchildren, Kelly Carulli wife of Anthony Carulli of Dudley, Gregory Belezerian of Boston, Sherri Campanale of Ft. Myers, Florida, Nicholas Campanale of Atlantic City, NJ, Gina Campanale of Livermore, CA, Jean Haywarth of Boylston, Irene Goodhall of Loxachatchee, FL, and Neal Ferraro of Worcester; a son in law, Nicholas Campanale of Henderson, NV and a sister in law, Josephine (Ferraro) Pecorelli of Worcester; she also leaves her adopted granddaughters, Josie Jeniski and Jane Balsamo; some special friends, Lucille LaPlante, Helen Narris, Mary Ciccarelli, Margaret Polissack, and Jamie Mogel; eleven great grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and two great grand dogs, Sophie and Sadie. She was also pre-deceased by three children, Dolores A. Campanale, John F. Ferraro, and Anthony P. Ferraro, as well as a son in law, Mark S. Belezerian. A very special "thank you" to Dr. David Weinstock, Courtney, Ann Marie, Amy and the entire staff at Grove Medical; as well as the staff at UMass Memorial Hospice, especially Christine and Tracey. Thank you to Apple Home Care for their excellent services. Catherine was an avid Red Sox fan. The funeral for Catherine will be held Monday, May 12, from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of The Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday, May 11, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
