Anthony "Tarnuch" Mastrototaro, 77, of Worcester died peacefully Sunday May 18, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family. Anthony is survived by his wife of 15 years Janice (Colorio) Mastrototaro, a son Anthony of Florida, two brothers Pasquale Mastrototaro of Lynn, and Maurice "Chicky" Mastrototaro of Florida, three sisters Sophie Welch, Ida DeMauro, and Mary Alexandrov, three grandchildren, one great grandson and many nieces and nephews among them Deborah DeMauro, and Elizabeth Loverro, and a brother in law Dennis Colorio. Anthony was predeceased by two brothers Maurice Mastrototaro who was killed in action on the Attack on Pearl Harbor, and Andrew "Andy" Mastrototaro, and three sisters Elizabeth Cavalieri, Theresa Peterson, and Lena D'Onofrio. Anthony was born in Worcester son of Joseph and Dora (Parziale) Mastrototaro and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Commerce High School. Anthony worked for the Local #243 Laborer's Union for many years before he retired. Beside his membership with the Union, Anthony was a long time Member of Our Lady Of Mt Carmel-St Ann Church, the East Side Improvement Club, and the Italian American Veteran's Post #3. Anthony's funeral will be held on Wednesday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. A visitation period with the family will be held from 9AM to 10:30AM in the funeral home. The family requests flowers be omitted.
