Anne M. (Swikla) Butkevich, 84, of Worcester passed away Sunday, December 30th, 2007 in St Vincent Hospital. Anne's husband Veite Butkevich passed away May 15, 1966. She is survived by her children, Paul Butkevich and his wife Jane of Sterling, Robert Butkevich of Dallas,Texas, Nancy Grillo and her husband Paul of Bonita Springs, Florida; her longtime friend and companion Vytautas "Vic" Zvirblis of Auburn; a brother, Joseph Swikla of Worcester; three grandchildren, Shelley, Nikki, and Todd; two great grandchildren, Madison and Carter; many nieces and nephews. Anne was born in Worcester, daughter of Empolik and Anna M. (Lawrynowicz) Swikla. She graduated from Worcester Girls trade and has lived in Worcester all her life. Anne owned and operated the former Pawlina's Café in the Green Island section of Worcester many years before retiring. Anne was a member of Our lady of Lourdes Church. She loved to travel, sew and her times spent with her family. A memorial mass will be held Friday, January 4th at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. Burial of ashes will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
