Alice Moore

April 21, 1912 — January 18, 2008

Miss Alice Moore, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 18, 2008, at Saint Francis Home in Worcester. She was the daughter of Ferris and Teresa (Debs) Moore of Worcester. Alice is survived by a sister, Pauline Munyan of Holden; a brother, Paul Moore of Westborough; many nieces and nephews, including Lila Risas of Worcester, her principal caregiver. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Nazere, Abraham, and George Moore, as well as three sisters, Jamela Karakey, Jeanne and Juliette Moore. Alice worked at Raytheon Company, during World War II, where she received a special training certificate. She later worked for Lundquist Tool and Worcester Toy Company. She was a charter member of Worcester Baptist Church and Chapel on The Hill, in Shrewsbury. She spent many years helping in the church nursery, and will be remembered for her love of children. A memorial service, conducted by Rev. Richard Risas, will be held Saturday, January 26, at 11 a.m. at Chapel On The Hill, 145 Memorial Drive (route 140), Shrewsbury. Her family wishes to thank Saint Francis Nursing Home for the excellent care she received. Memorial gifts in her memory may be made to Saint Francis Home 101 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
