Albert "Easy Al" Tomasetta, 85, of Ft Myers Florida, formerly of Worcester passed away Monday, December 10th in Ft Myers. Albert is survived by two sisters, Barbara S. Cross and her husband James with whom she lived, and Marie "Birdie" Besardi of California; a brother, Arthur Tomasetta of Worcester; many loving nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Joseph, Rudolph, Philip and John Tomasetta and two sisters, Rose "Bucky" Bean and Dorothy DiPinto all pre deceased him. Al was born in Worcester, his parents were the late Constantino and Louise (Gardella) Tomasetta. He grew up in Worcester, graduated from Worcester Boys Trade, served in the Merchant Marine, and U.S. Army during World War II, and has lived in Worcester all his life before moving to Florida. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a former member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church and Post 3, Italian American Veterans. The funeral will be held Monday, December 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral Monday, December 17th. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that you please take a moment out of your day to say a prayer on behalf of Albert F. Tomasetta and others battling Diabetes or any other debilitating illness.
