Albert L. "Pic" Licciardone, 58, of Worcester passed away Monday, May 19th 2008 in his home after being stricken ill. Albert was born in Worcester, the only child of Paul Licciardone, Virginia (Bernard) Licciardone Goyette, and his stepfather Roland Goyette. He graduated from North High, volunteered for the U.S Marine Corps at the age of seventeen. Served in Vietnam with the first Marine Division, earning the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in the Battle of Khe Sanh. He then came home to earn his associates degree in Photography from Quinsigamond College. He has lived here all his life. Alby was a great Dad to his two daughters, Angela M. Licciardone, Kimberly A. Licciardone and her future husband Edward Hashey, Jr. A friend to his former wife, Patricia Licciardone- Lindquist; A brother-in-law to John and his wife Mary Deneault, and their children, Christina "Tissy" his god daughter and Michael. Albert had many extended family and close longtime friends. He was always making new friends throughout his life. Albert worked as a truck driver for John Anthony Paving before retiring due to illness. Albert has been a member of numerous veterans' organizations. He had the utmost respect and was a devoted strong supporter for past, present and future veterans who served this country. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters. They had a very strong and loving relationship. His hobbies included interest in computers, video games, CB radios, music, car shows and fishing. A service will be held Friday, May 23rd at 8 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Following cremation, Albert will be buried at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Winchendon. Calling hours will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 23rd in the funeral home.
