Adele M. (Rezuke) Haddad 101, of Worcester passed away peacefully Friday, February 9th, 2024 surrounded by family after a beautiful life of faith, love, family and dedication.
Adele was born in Lowell, the daughter of Toffar and Mary (Debs) Rezuke. As an infant she moved to Worcester with her family and lived here her entire life. Adele married William M. Haddad in 1945 celebrating 43 years of marriage until his passing on April 15, 1988. In her early years while her children were young, Adele worked at home as a seamstress. Later she worked as a baker for Worcester Public Schools until her retirement at age 75.
Adele is survived by her five children, Elaine M. Foley and her husband Brian of Worcester, Patricia A. Haddad of Auburn and her partner Kevin Bradley, Nicholas W. Haddad and his wife Joanne of Shrewsbury, William M. Haddad, Jr. and his wife Maria of Oxford, and Stephen E. Haddad and his wife Maureen of Los Angeles. She also leaves 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and her sister Lillian Dorr. In addition to her parents and husband William, she was predeceased by her son, Ronald Haddad, a grandson Christopher A. Foley, brothers, William, David, Edmund, Edward, George and Nassar Rezuke, and sisters, Nellie Laurence, Mary Palermo, Carol Fitzgerald and Rose Kelly.
She was a devoted lifelong parishioner of Saint George’s Orthodox Cathedral. Adele’s family and her deep faith always came first. She was the matriarch who remained devoted to all of us throughout her life. Adele’s unwavering faith kept her grounded and helped her through all of life's challenges. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts. She will never be forgotten. “May her memory be eternal.”
The Haddad family would like to thank the entire staff of Notre Dame Long Term Care Center for the loving support and care they gave to Adele during her stay.
A period of calling hours will be held at St. George’s Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St., Worcester, Massachusetts on Wednesday, February 14th from 9:00 am to 10:45 am . Followed by her funeral service at 11 am. The Very Reverend Milad Selim will preside. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The St George’s Orthodox Cathedral Building Fund, 30 Anna Street Worcester. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
