Albert J. DiNinno, 52, of Oxford, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, with his mother and sister at his bedside. Al fought a long hard battle with his diabetes with a “can do attitude” and “strong will”, for many years before finally succumbing.
Al is survived by his mother, Monica U. (Senckowski) DiNinno of Honolulu, HI; his sister, Marie F. Carpenter and her husband John, with whom he lived; two nieces, Samantha Normand and Tabitha Carpenter; a nephew, Kyle Carpenter; two great nephews, Sirus and Soren; a great niece, Alexandria; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Albert DiNinno, Jr.
Al was born in Worcester and grew up in Sutton, where he graduated from Sutton High School. He later graduated from Baystate School of Technology with a license in HVAC. Al always enjoyed working with his hands, fixing appliances, doing carpentry, remodeling, fixing his truck, and gardening.
Al was a member of Singletary Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, everything outdoors, playing pitch, cooking for game dinners and road trips, summer cookouts and spending time with family and friends.
Al was a vibrant, positive, happy person and could turn any bad day around and make it a good one!
Services for Al will be held privately.
Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel is assisting his family with arrangements.
