Alberto Alexandre “Polaco” Cordero, 46, of Worcester, a personable, funny and great man passed away Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 after a valiant yearlong battle with Lymphoma.

Alberto was born in Havana, Cuba on September 6, 1973, the son of Alberto Cordero and Maria (Aleman) Cordero.   At the age of 8, Alberto immigrated to the United States and specifically Worcester and has lived here all his life.

Alberto worked as a Window Glazer for the Local 1044, International Painters and Allied trades union.  Most of his employment was with the Karas & Karas Glass Company Inc.

Alberto’s wife and children always came first in his life.  A beautiful person with a huge heart, bright smile and the ability to light up any room he entered, with his crazy stories and unbelievable laugh. Alberto was people person who made friends easily, worked hard to support his family and enjoyed each minute he could be with them.  People that didn’t know him missed out on a beautiful soul. Alberto loved the beach, had a masterful ability and love to cook, enjoyed hiking and could be found making unplanned excursions with Marci and the kids on a minute’s notice.    His unwavering faith kept him grounded and helped him through life's challenges.   Alberto’s passing leaves a hole in our hearts, but his loving and caring soul will not be forgotten.

Due to the covid-19 outbreak, calling hours and a funeral service will be held privately.  Memorial remembrances in his name can be made to the Cordero children’s trust, care of Santander Bank, Shrewsbury White City, 50 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
