Alfred “Freddie” Rossetti, 96, a lifelong resident of Worcester, passed away peacefully Monday, September 9, 2024.
Freddie was born in Worcester, the son of Italian immigrants, Vincent, and Domenica (Mangano) Rossetti. He was raised in the family home on Shrewsbury St of Worcester and later moving to the N Lake Ave neighborhood with his family the remainder of his entire life.
Freddie is survived by his brother, best friend and principal lifelong caretaker, Philip Rossetti with whom he lived, Many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Freddie joins in heaven his parents, four brothers, Julian, Frank, John, and Joseph Rossetti, and four sisters, Emma LaPlume, Florence Mierzejewski, Beatrice Ambrose, and Estelle LaPrade.
Freddie a kind and quiet soul enjoyed being with his brother Philip, watching TV notably all sports his favorite being the Red Sox and never missing his favorite Wheel of Fortune or his brother’s Italian specialties carefully & lovingly prepared.
Funeral services and burial with his parents and siblings in St John Cemetery will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Activities fund, care of Christopher House Nursing home, 10 Mary Scano Drive, Worcester, MA . The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
The Rossetti family would like to thank the Doctors, nurses and staff, notably Mohamed and Marjorie of the Christopher House for the care comfort and compassion they gave to Freddie.
