Angelina C. (Salemmo) Aiello, 93, of Worcester died peacefully Thursday August 8, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, reuniting in heaven with the “Love of her Life” for over 66 years, Anthony W. Aiello Sr. who passed away October 4th of 2018.
Angelina was born in Worcester, April 6th, 1926 one of seven children of Italian immigrants Anthony and Rose (Bolio) Salemmo. She was raised in Worcester, graduated from Commerce High School and learned her profession as a beautician from RobRoy beauty academy. She owned and operated alongside her husband a barber and beauty salon for many years.
Angelina is survived by her devoted family, Anthony W. Aiello, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Sutton, David Aiello and his wife Darlene of Charlton, and John Aiello and his wife Linda of Thompson, Connecticut, Teresa Wood and her husband James of Sutton, and Debra Servideo, formerly of Oxford; A sister, Antoinette Salemmo of Worcester; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Three brothers and two sisters predeceased her.
Angelina was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Loreto church and devoted Catholic who helped others through her guidance. Along with her husband, her children always came first in her life no matter what. Angelina was the backbone of her family and remained devoted to them throughout her life. She was a beautiful person who enjoyed camping and spending time on Cape Cod Canal, the occasional trips to the Casino, knitting, crochet, notably donating her handmade, blankets, scarfs and gloves to those in need, spending time and being surrounded by her family and friends whom she loved and adored. During holidays, specials occasions, & any of her free time, Angelina would always be there with the ones she loved and adored the most. She was very generous with her love, time and resources, and helped anyone she could.
Angelina’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 12th with a procession from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd. Worcester where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Angelina will be buried with her husband Anthony in St John’s Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, August 11th from 3 PM to 6 PM in the funeral home
