Angelo L. Schmidt

Angelo L. Schmidt passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his home in Millbury on July 26, 2021, at the age of 60. He was born in Worcester, MA on February 4, 1961. He met his wife of thirty six years, Susan (Carlson), in high school at the age of 19. They had three beautiful girls together, Rachel (31) of Methuen, Audrey (27) of Millbury, and Hanna (25) of Millbury.

Angelo is survived by his wife and three daughters, his parents Hans J. and Lucy (DiReda) Schmidt of Grafton, brother, Hans J. Schmidt Jr. of North Carolina, two sisters, Erika Creamer of Millbury and Sharon Doyle of Millbury, seven nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

Angelo graduated from Saint Peter-Marian Central Catholic High School in 1979, and then went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Assumption College in 1983, MBA from Nichols College in 1992, and also obtained his CPA license. Angelo worked and held numerous director positions throughout his career to include but not limited to Hologic, Watts Water Technologies and most recently, Clean Harbors.  

Angelo was first and foremost a family man. He adored his wife and three daughters – he was their biggest fan. He called his parents weekly and often visited them on the weekends to share stories of the week and reminisce of precious memories. Angelo had a generous, loving heart, an enormous sense of humor and was the sunshine of any occasion; the life of the party to say the least. He lived life with no regrets. He loved to laugh, cherished life, and enjoyed spending quality time with his beloved family and friends. He was a foreign car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time refurbishing them with his predeceased uncle, Klaus Schmidt. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, the outdoors, and had a strong passion for home renovation projects. Angelo was loved by so many people, and he will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
