Anita (Morano) Mitchell

Anita C. (Morano) Mitchell, 75, a lifelong Worcester resident passed away Thursday, February 10^th, 2022.

Anita was born in Worcester the daughter of Antonio and Yvonne Morano. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived here all her life. Anita worked over 20 years for the State of Massachusetts, Department of Employment and Training.  She then worked for Notre Dame Du Lac before retiring. 

Anita is survived by her daughter Andrea Stephens, her husband Wendell and their children Julia and Matthew, Extended family, and friends. 

Anita lived a simple life of family and friends. She loved to shop, watch TV and be around and with her daughter and grandchildren. 

At Anita’s request the family will honor her last wishes privately.  The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
