Mrs. Ann (Laflamme) Coskie, a Worcester native, passed away on October 18th at the age of 75 after a long illness. She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Joseph R. Coskie, son Jay Coskie, daughter Cindy Halloran, daughter Carol Lynn Tomaiolo, daughter-in-law Amy Coskie, son-in-law Mark Tomaiolo, grandchildren Jack and Matthew Halloran and Charlotte and Rachel Coskie, as well as her brother Arthur Laflamme and his wife Lucille, her sister Janet Lavin, her sister-in-law Carol Laflamme, as well as many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and countless friends. Ann was born and raised in Worcester attending Holy Name High School when she met Joe. They soon married and started their family, spending their life in New England and finally residing in Holden, Ma. She worked as an office manager at Allison-Hendrie for a number of years and eventually worked beside Joe as the treasurer of his company, Simco Design and Development. She was a heroic cancer survivor, conquering melanoma with strength and determination. Her first priority was always being an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She discovered antiques later in life and found a true passion in buying and selling collectibles, and many of her weekends were spent happily in pursuit of treasures. Her enthusiasm for everything she did was contagious. Ann was an avid gardener, crafter, and quilter, spending many happy hours in her sewing room. She was a devoted grandmother who was adored by her four grandchildren. She was a cheering squad at games and a consoling shoulder when they were lost. She was the family peacekeeper whenever times were troubled and had a way of making things easier. She was forever present, always uplifting and always with a smile. We were so fortunate and blessed to have her kindness, thoughtfulness, gentle way, and genuine warmth in our lives and we’re so thankful for every moment. We would like to thank Pam from the Family Tree and the caring staff of the Christopher House for helping us take such good care of her. A memorial mass for family and friends will be held at St. Anne’s Church 130 Boston Turnpike Shrewsbury, Ma 01545 at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 25, 2018.
