Anna (Natale) Cutillo

September 29, 1928 — December 29, 2022

Anna (Natale) Cutillo, 94, a resident of Worcester, passed away with loved ones by her side on Thursday, December 29, 2022.  She enters heaven into the arms of her husband of 64 years, Augusto “Gus” Cutillo who left her side on October 21, 2016.

Anna was born September 29, 1928, in Garzano, Caserta, Italy, the daughter of Raphael and Josephine (Tammaro) Natale.   In 1952, she married Augusto, and together in 1953, they immigrated to the United States, beginning a 64-year marriage of Love, Devotion and Family in a new world.   Other than the vacations back to Italy to visit family, they have lived here ever since.

Anna is survived by her two children, Peter Cutillo and his wife Maria of Worcester and Bob Cutillo and his wife Kelly of Foxboro; a sister, Andrea Basile, of Dedham; five grandchildren she cherished who affectionately called her “Nonni”, Alexandra and her husband Kevin, Danielle, Ryan, Jacqueline and Caroline; many nieces, nephews and extended family members both here and in Italy.  In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, Stephen Natale predeceased her.

Anna was a member of Mt Carmel/Our Lady of Loreto Church. She loved to cook, travel to Italy, sew and bake her Italian delicacies.  Anna not only helped support her family as a seamstress, but she also loved to use her God given talent to make her own clothes, curtains, dresses, clothes for the grandchildren and could repair anything that needed her talent.  She was the matriarch of her family and remained so until her passing.

A period of calling hours will be held Thursday, January 5th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St followed by a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in Anna’s name can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 1000, or www.jdrf.org
