Anna M. Grimaldi, 46, of Rutland, formerly of Holden and Worcester, passed away surrounded by family, Friday May 12th, 2023, after several years of health challenges.
Born in Worcester, Anna was the daughter of the late Francesca (Piombino) Grimaldi and Albert Grimaldi. She raised her family in Holden before moving to Rutland 6 Years ago. Anna worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, first in the Administration department of the University of Massachusetts before transferring to Worcester State Hospital before having to retire due to her health.
Anna is survived by her two sons, Dillon A. and Christian P. Brigley of Holden; partner, Joseph Hamilton with whom she lived; her father Albert Grimaldi of Worcester, two brothers, Francensco Grimaldi of Rutland and Albert Grimaldi of Worcester; a sister, Christina McAuliffe of Holden; her beloved pet, Peanut; former Husband and best friend, Denny Brigley; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Anna cared deeply for her children and family. They always came first in her family and her greatest moments were spent with them. She enjoyed watching 70’s sitcoms, going out to dinner and a movie with Joe, visiting Disney World and the special moments she could spend with her children. Her kind heart, bright smile and caring soul will be truly missed.
Calling hours for Anna will be held Thursday, May 18th from 4 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Planation St follow by a prayer service. Burial in St John Cemetery will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the St John’s Food for the Poor, 40 Temple Street Worcester.
