Annette M. (Bodinizzo) Pellegrino, 83, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister died peacefully Saturday July 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at home. Annette leaves her dedicated family, A daughter Janice Hinson with whom she lived, two sons, Raymond Pellegrino and his wife Robin of Worcester and Nicholas Pellegrino and his wife Christine of West Boylston. Annette is also survived by her brother Joseph Bodinizzo and his wife Gloria, and a sister Theresa Parretti and her husband Robert all of Worcester. Annette was the proud grandmother to Dianna, Nicole, Michelle, Heather, Jackie, Nick Jr. and Jessica. Annette also leaves 10 great grandchildren, and her extended family, sisters in law, Theresa Bodinizzo, Dorothy Palermo and her husband Anthony “Dorsey” and Frances Pellegrino, and brothers in law, Peter Pellegrino and his wife Diane, and Robert Pellegrino, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, Peter, Michael, and John Bodinizzo, and two sisters Frances Walkowiak, and Mary Tomasiello.
Annette was born in Worcester daughter of Italian Immigrants Pasquale and Nicoletta (Capabianca) Bodinizzo and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Annette worked as a Dietary Aide at the Memorial Hospital for over 30 years before she retired. She was a member of the Church of St. John. Annette was a former member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel St Ann and was a longtime member of their Golden Years Club. She enjoyed going on Bus trips with her friends and enjoyed a good day at the Casino! Annette was most happy when she was with her family. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren and was so proud of them. She was a devout Catholic who prayed the Rosary daily. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Annette’s family would like to thank the entire staff at the Christopher House for their Kindness and Compassion, it will always be remembered.
Annette’s funeral will be held on Thursday July 12, 2018 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in the Church of St John 40 Temple St. Visiting hours to remember and celebrate Annette’s life will be held from 4PM to 7PM on Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the food pantry at St Francis Xavier Center 20 Temple St. or St Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis TN.38105.
