Anthony J. Beando, Jr. 75 a lifelong resident of Worcester and Tax accountant passed away surrounded by the ones he loved Thursday, June 4th, 2020.
Tony was born in Worcester, the son of Anthony Beando, Sr and Nancy (Ginese) Beando. He graduated from Commerce High School, joined the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War to serve his country. Upon discharge he attended Tampa University and finished at Fischer Junior College. Anthony worked for the Wyman-Gordon Company in the Worcester plant. He then married the “Love of his Life” Deborah A. Pepper, became a tax preparer and began a life of faith, family and dedication to those he served.
Tony is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah “Debbie” Beando; his four children, Shawn M. Beando of Worcester and Tara Genzlinger of Westford, Vermont, Twin daughters, Cherie Beando of Milton, Delaware, and Cheryl McKinney of Worcester:; a sister Barbara Bantz of Rutland; six grandchildren; 2 great grandsons; extended family and friends. A son Dale passed away July 22, 2010, brother, James “Jimmy” Beando and brother in law Edward Bantz both passed away in 2014.
Tony, a great man with a huge smile and infectious laugh, was a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers, a Justice of the peace, minister and enrolled agent for the IRS. He especially enjoyed his life with Debbie , Virginia Beach, Golf, the trips to the Casinos, football and baseball. At Christmas time he enjoyed playing Santa.
Funerals services are private. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date once the restrictions are lifted. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the American Heart Association or the Joslin Diabetes association. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
