Anthony F. Massad, 39, of Worcester, a loving son, brother, and friend passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019. He left us far too soon.
Anthony was born, raised, and lived in Worcester; Anthony leaves behind the family he loved: his mother, Katherine L. (Korkus) Massad of Gardner, his father, Francis P. Massad of Somerset and his wife Deborah; a brother, Christopher Massad and his fiancée Abigail of Portland, ME; a sister, Amanda Massad of Brighton; his maternal grandmother, Katherine Korkus of Worcester; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who love him and will miss him greatly.
Anthony worked alongside his father co-owning and operating Massad Construction Company.
A spiritual individual, Anthony was a member and active volunteer in the church he loved, the Lifesong Church community. He was an energetic outdoorsy young man who enjoyed all forms of exercise including the gym, hiking, Spartan competitions, and 5k races to benefit various charities. He also had a love for sports and was a dedicated Celtics and Patriots fan.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Monday, January 7th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in his name can be made to the Boston Celtic Shamrock Foundation, which directly benefits children in need and partners with organizations such as the Boys & Club of Boston, Boston Children’s Hospital, Horizons for Homeless Children, and more.
