Antoine Marie Etéope "Theo" Audate

Antoine “Theo” Audate, age 79. passed away on December 18, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA,  under the attentive care of his loving sister, Cicie. Theo was born on May 31st, 1944, to Fortune Audate and Veronique Menard. He emigrated to the United States at the age of 18, where he pursued higher education at Kingsborough Community College and earned a degree in physical therapy. Early in his career, he dedicated his skills and passion to Coney Island Hospital. As an entrepreneur at heart, Theo ventured into various personal business endeavors. His unwavering connection to his homeland, particularly the town of his upbringing, Monbin Crochu, led him to return in the 1990s to embark on a new chapter in life. Theo's commitment to his community extended to the realm of politics, where he sought elected office multiple times in the Northwest of Haiti. Even when not campaigning himself, he remained actively engaged in supporting others in their political pursuits.

Theo is survived by his beloved wife, Sionise Ainee, and his cherished children: Terry S. Audate, Kadraj Yseult Audate, Jean Richard Audate, Gerald Audate, Frederick Audate, Fortune Audate, Marie Pascale Audate, Vanessa Yseult Audate, Esther Audate, and Wendel Audate. He was also a doting grandfather to Iiam Uarwe (Jeremiah) Everette and Langston Audate.

Theo is survived by his siblings: Marie Jose Audate, Laure Audate, Nolla Audate, Marie Mercie Audate, Francesca Audate, Luce Audate, Pierre Marie Audate, Keitel Audate, Jean Audate, Francesca Audate, Jean Audate, and Liliane Audate. Additionally, his extended family includes his Aunt, the matriarch of the family, Elmina Menard Georges, and countless cousins, nieces, and nephews. Our sincerest condolences go out to the Audate, Menard, Jean  Francois, and Saint Fleur families during this challenging time.

A viewing and service to celebrate Theo's life will be held on December 29th, with viewing from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and a service will begin at 11:00 AM at Mercadante Funeral Home, located at 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
