Anna Mae was born in Worcester, raised, grew up and lived her entire life a part of Shrewsbury Street.  While she traveled much in her younger years, she was most happy at home, living independently for the past 86 years as a homeowner in the house she was raised, walking daily up and down Shrewsbury Street.    Anna graduated from  Commerce High School, a Horace Mann Scholarship recipient and went on to win the prestigious National Presidential Award in Life Insurance while working as an insurance agent for The John Hancock Life Insurance Company of Worcester and Rhode Island. Notably, Anna was the first female to be work as insurance agent , an accomplishment she was most proud of.

Anna’s catholic faith and Italian Heritage was most important to her.  She was a true servant of her faith helping those in need throughout life.   Anna was a dedicated member, daily mass attendee, eucharistic minister and volunteer of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church.   Following Mt Carmel’s closure, she became active with the Mount Carmel Preservation Society through which she established deep and lasting friendships with many of its members.  Anna was also a member of the Maria SS Addolorata Society of the Men’s Biscegliese society.

In addition to her church , her family was most important to her .  Anna Mae  is survived by seven nieces and two nephews and many grand nieces and nephews whom she was delighted in spending time with along with her cat Prissa, and many good friends.
