Antonia Caputo

Antonia (DelloStritto) Caputo, 88 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Casa de Ramana Rehabilitation Center in Framingham after a period of declining health.

Antonia was born in Caserta, Naples, Italy, a daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (Squeglia) DelloStritto.  She was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.  Antonia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all her family.

Antonia’s husband Leno Caputo passed away in the 1970s.  She is survived by a son, Frank Caputo and his wife Angela of Worcester; two sisters, Yolanda Devivo and Elena Rendinoni both of Italy; six grandchildren, Joseph Caputo and his wife Andrea of Worcester, Amanda Caputo of West Boylston, Danielle Simpson and her husband Tim of Clermont, FL., Bianca Caputo of Hardwick, VT., Frank Caputo, Jr. and Alyssa Caputo both of Worcester; three great grandchildren, Anthony Desouza, Lorenzo Rivera and Theodore Simpson many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son, Mario Caputo on October 20, 2019; a brother, Giuseppe DelloStritto; three sisters, Anna Brignola, Luigia Tariello and Michelina Gallo.

Services for Antonia will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Our Lady Loreto Parish, 37 Massasoit Rd., Worcester.  Burial next to her husband will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.  A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 11^th from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.  Masks and social distancing are mandatory during the services at the funeral home, church and burial.
