Anwar A. Aldyoub, 69 of Dudley, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Anwar was born in Homs, Syria, a son of the late Abdallah and Fadwa (Almatney) Aldyoub. He graduated from high school in Syria and later earned his associates degree in Army Services. Anwar was a colonel in the Syrian Army retiring after 30 years of dedicated services to his country. After retirement, he came to the United States in 2005 where he worked various jobs to provide for his family.
Anwar is survived by his beloved wife, Etwal E. (Marriki) Aldyoub; two sons, Wael and Fadi Aldyoub and a daughter, Grace Aldyoub all of Dudley with whom he lived; a brother, Adel Aldyoub of Syria; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers, Elias and Naef Aldyoub and a sister, Mazna Aldyoub.
Calling hours for Anwar will be held Today, January 31, 2022 from 5-8 pm in St. Mary’s Syriac Orthodox Church, 1 Industrial Dr., Shrewsbury, MA. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 1st at 11 am in church immediately followed by his burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
