Aster C. (Frasco) Scarpone, 95, a lifelong resident of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023.

Aster was born in Worcester, the daughter of Pasquale and Antoinette (Spano) Frasco.  Raised and educated in Worcester, Aster then married Frank Scarpone in 1948 and settled in the St. Anne’s Hill area to raise their family for over 56 years before Frank left her side on July 3, 2005. Over the years, Aster worked in office administration for GE Telecron, National Electrical Contractors Association, and PDN Pace Corporation before retiring.

She is survived by her two devoted children, Marcia Lucente of Shrewsbury and Lynn Henrion and her husband John Henrion III of Holden;  a brother, Nino Frasco and his wife Helen of Maumee, Ohio; four grandchildren, Melissa Johnson and her husband Chris, Mallory Caruso and her husband Peter, Shay Henrion, and John Henrion IV and his wife Nathalie; five great-grandchildren who affectionately called her “GG”, Mackenzie, Jack, Sophia, Zoey, and Lily;  Brother and sisters-in-law,  Leonard Fortunato and his wife Renee, and Gabrielle Frasco; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.   In addition to her parents and husband Frank, Aster was predeceased by her son-in-law Mark Lucente, two brothers, James and Pasquale Frasco, Jr., and a sister, Elizabeth Occhialini.

Aster was a kind and friendly woman, with a huge heart and bright smile who loved to socialize. She tried to make each person in her life feel like they were special.  Aster cherished spending precious moments with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Aster and Frank loved to travel, spend many wonderful years with family and friends at their summer home in Wells, Maine, or on Saturday nights dancing at the Frohsinn Club. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, its Golden Years and Our Lady of Sorrows groups, the Worcester Lodge Sons of Italy, Knights of Columbus, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Mt. Carmel Apartments.
