Barbara H. (Busby) Goreschak, 83 of Northborough, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24th, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.
Barbara was born in Hudson, Massachusetts, the daughter of William J. and Eva P. (Patvin) Busby. Raised in Hudson, Barbara graduated from Hudson High School and later met and married John F. Goreschak, Jr. They lived and raised their daughter in Framingham before moving to Northborough in the early 1980’s.
Barbara worked for Eastern Insurance Group for more than 33 years. The majority of her career she held the position of Customer Service Representative. She later moved into a Customer Care position and she was responsible for contacting clients for quality control regarding their transactions and interactions with the organization, she held that position until retiring.
She is survived by her devoted family, her husband of 49 years, John; their daughter Lori A. Perry and her husband David of Worcester; her grand puppies that she found so much enjoyment with, Daisy and Jaxson; and other extended family members and friends.
Barbara was loving, strong, brave, resourceful, hardworking, funny (sometimes with some sarcasm mixed in) and generous. In her younger years she enjoyed skiing and camping, she always loved to travel and some of her favorite vacation locations were Puerto Rico, San Francisco and the Beaches of New England, particularly Maine, Cape Cod and Rhode Island. She also enjoyed reading, shopping, cooking, crosswords, music, mystery and crime-drama movies and TV shows, gardening and occasional casino trips. Barbara’s life centered around her family and having them around on the holidays, special occasions and dinners are the moments she treasured. Above all else, Barbara was an amazing wife, mother and friend. Words cannot describe how much she is loved and missed. She was also a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish.
Barbara’s family would like to thank the team at the St. Vincent Cancer and Wellness Center, as well as her medical care providers at Reliant Medical Group for their knowledge, care, understanding and support that they provided to her particularly during the past two years as she navigated through difficult medical challenges.
