Barbara Miller

Barbara A. Miller, 57, of Worcester, passed away in the comfort of her home on Thursday, January 28, 2020.

Barbara is survived by three sons, Maurice Miller and Nathan W. Miller, both of Worcester, and Demetrius Jones of Chicago; three daughters, Kathleen C M Miller of Worcester, Tia Benjamin of Worcester, and Elease Benjamin of North Oxford; four brothers, Irvin J. Chambers, Jr. of Georgia, John B. Miller, Jr. of Cleveland, Anthony D. Miller of Worcester, and Ricky Miller Cleveland; two sisters, Antoinette Chambers-Rose of Worcester and Patricia A. Miller of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Jhamere Pierre, Deric Miller, Nylah Chavis, Kayden Miller, and Layla Miller; many nieces and nephews, including, Antoinette Miller, Tyler Moore, Kayla Peters, John and Jonathan Miller. She was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, daughter of the late, John B., Sr. and Rose Lee (Cooper) Miller.

Barbara was a kind and loving person, who put others first.  She was especially dedicated to her family and was always generous to her community.  She lived her life following the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you’d have done to you”.

Calling Hours will be on Friday, February 12, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  Her Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 13, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

COVID protocols will be followed, at the funeral home and cemetery, including social distancing and the use of a face mask.
