Beatrice A. Connor 95 of Worcester died peacefully on Tuesday March 30, 2021 at Notre Dame Healthcare in the arms of Mabel her patient care assistant. Born in Burlington Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Theresa (Campanile) Miglionico. Bea’s husband Peter died in 1976.
Beloved mother of three daughters, Theresa Yesket and her husband Anthony, Rosemary Tuttle and her husband David, and Patrice O’Connell and her husband Mark. Beatrice also leaves two sisters, Genevieve Haynes, and Elaine Dyer, nine grandchildren, Sandra, Tracey, Kristen, Justin, Marisa, Keith, Ryan, Catlin, and Erin, seven great grandchildren, Nicole, Cooper, Gianna, Gavinn, Braeden, Ayla, and Veda, and soon a baby girl due in May. and two great great grandchildren Dylan and Noah. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews she also leaves behind her beloved dog Bella, she loved that dog like she was a human, when she went to Notre Dame, she had a battery dog which she also named Bella and she shared her meals with that dog just like she had done with her real dog. Bea was predeased by brothers Thomas, Anthony, George, and Donald, sisters Mary Mangini and Phyllis Gastaldo.
Beatrice worked at Day Pole Plastics, F. W. Woolworth at the candy counter, Weintraub’s fabrics at Lincoln Plaza which helped her spend her pay on fabric, and the Sheraton Lincoln where she loved being a hostess in both the dining room and the courtyard. At a young age she would sing at the Plymouth theater on Main St. She brought that love of singing to St. Joan of Arc church where she would out do all of the parishioners on Sunday. With her love of sewing Bea would make anything from wedding and bridesmaids’ gowns to suits, curtains and she did amazing alterations as well. Bea even made the vestments and the Pall for St. Joan of Arc in the late 1970’s. While working as a hostess at the Sheraton Bea made uniforms for the dining staff.
Bea loved her trips to Falmouth in the summer when her family was younger to stay at her sister Gennies house, she loved a trip she took to Chicago with her sister Mary to see her niece Nancy and great niece Angela. In her 60’s Bea started to ride a motorcycle traveling on occasion to New Port Richy Florida to spend time with her brothers Tony and George. Bea loved the Patriots and she loved watching golf on Sundays. She loved Family Feud and Tom and Jerry cartoons. She loved a good lobster and enjoyed being brought to Val’s and Friendly’s in Holden for a good meal.
Bea’s family would like to thank Notre Dame Long-term Care, for the last 20 months that was home. The care and the love she received was beyond anything her family could have wished for.
A funeral Mass will be held for Beatrice on Wednesday April 7,2021 at 11am at St. Bernard Church, Our Lady of Providence Parish 236 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours please meet at church. For those unable to attend, Beatrice's Mass will be live streamed by going to www.mercadantefuneral.com, click on "Live Services" on Wednesday at 11am.
