Beverly R. (Pingeton) Carpino, 88 a lifelong resident of Worcester passed away with the ones she loved gathered at her side, Monday, March 8, 2021.
Born in Worcester, Beverly was one of nine children of Augustus and Leda (Delgreco) Pingeton. Raised here, Beverly married the “Love of her Life” Anthony F. Carpino in May of 1954, in St Stephen’s Church. They settled on Grafton Hill where they spent the next 67 years raising their family with faith, love, devotion, and family. She worked for over 20 years for the University of Massachusetts in the medical records department before retiring in 1994.
Beverly is survived by her devoted family, her husband, Anthony F. Carpino, Sr.; three children, Mark A. Carpino and his wife Nancy of Oxford, Anthony F. Carpino, Jr. and his companion Paula Kiley of Millbury, and Brenda M. Carpino of Worcester; three brothers, Augustus “Gus” Pingeton of West Boylston, John “Jack” and Thomas Pingeton of Worcester; two sisters, Leah Leone of Worcester and Paula Schraffa of Millbury; seven grandchildren she cherished, Brian, Heather, Michael, Matthew, David, Tiffany and Julie; seven great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews and extended family including her godchildren, Sandy and Annie. In addition to her parents, three sisters, Rose R. Pingeton , Janice Hultberg and Barbara Dagesi predeceased her.
Beverly was a lifelong member of St Stephen’s Church. She received all her sacraments, sang in its choir, volunteered in its thrift shop, and attended mass religiously. She was a woman of faith who lived a quiet life of family devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Beverly cherished the moment she would have her family surrounding her. Family special occasions, the holidays, dinners, and the special moments she could be with her grandchildren were the moments that will be remembered. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and the Millbury Senior Center.
Friends and relatives are invited to a period of calling hours from 8:30 am to 10:30 am Monday, March 15th 2021 in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. before proceeding in procession to her church St. Stephens, 357 Grafton St. where her celebration of Christian burial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to St Stephen’s Church, 16 Hamilton St. Worcester 01604.
