Beverly (Avedisian) Sanderson, 67, of Worcester, passed away with family gathered at her side, Friday, June 1st2018, joining in heaven with her beloved husband Phillip who passed away in 2012.
Beverly was born in Worcester on March 24th 1951 a daughter of Aaron and Ann Marie (Vaughan) Avedisian. Raised and educated in Worcester, Beverly met Phillip Sanderson in 1980. Together for the next 6 years, on June 6th 1986, they formerly married and spent the next 26 years, in dedication to each other raising their family until Phillip passed away in 2012.
Beverly was employed all her life. She began working for the VNA Care Hospice, later accepted a position with the Umass-Memorial Hospital and then later becoming a service telephone operator for 20 years for the AATM Speedy Company.
Beverly is survived by three children, Michelle Naple, Cape Coral Florida, Michael Naple of Worcester, Marci Bartkiewicz and her husband Joseph with whom she lived; seven siblings, Margaret “Peggy” Hackerson of California, Alice Mariano in Arizona, William “Bill” Avedisian in Kansas, Milton Avedisian of Worcester, Annamarie Nelson of Holden, Yvonne Pardo in North Carolina and Leonard “Lenny” LaRoche in Rhode Island; nine beloved grandchildren, Tatiana and her fiancé Dario, Michael Jr, Teahna, Domanick, Marianna, Blayne, Sierra, Trinity and Joseph Jr. Many nieces and nephews. She also had a few amazing friends that were like family. Besides Phillip, a nephew Andrew Avedisian pre deceased her.
Beverly as an avid Bingo attendee and player enjoying most nights with friends and bingo cards in front of her. She also enjoyed Reading, the occasional trips to Twin Rivers, the Beach, and bowling in her younger days. She was a hard worker all her life, most years holding down two jobs. She was a simple women who never sugar coated anything, faced the future with open eyes and a faith to overcome. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She always looked forward to the days she could have her children and grandchildren around her.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Friday, June 8th 2018 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Followed by a prayer service at 6:00 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers remembrances in her name can be made to the VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester 01608.
