Blandina DeCiccio, 93, of Worcester, devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Blandina is survived by her daughter Claudia Garofoli and her husband Vincent of Worcester, her grandson Daniel Garofoli and his girlfriend Suzanne Stanczak of Ludlow, a sister Rosa Nacchia of Pagani, Italy and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Donato DeCiccio, her son Anthony DeCiccio and her grandson, Samuel Damato.
She was born in Pagani, Italy, daughter of the late Umberto and Maria Nacchia and lived here most of her life. She worked in manufacturing for many years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St Ann Parish. Blandina was an excellent cook and loved to spend time with her daughter, son-in-law and grandsons. She loved to celebrate the holidays with her family and took pride in her Italian heritage. She will be deeply missed and will remain in the hearts of those who loved her through many beautiful memories.
Blandina’s funeral services will be held on Saturday November 6, 2021 at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester, Ma 01605. Calling hours will be from 9-10am with a service to begin a 10am. Burial will follow at Saint John Cemetery Worcester.
